THE THINKING BEHIND YOUR CARE

Your priorities.
A considered plan.

You do not need to arrive knowing which treatment to ask for. Start with what has changed, what concerns you and what you would like to understand.

We consider your skin, facial features, medical history and previous treatments before discussing suitable options. Your plan should make sense for your goals, your time and your budget.

That conversation includes what treatment may achieve, its limitations and whether waiting, skincare or another approach would be more appropriate.

01 / ASSESSMENT

Understand the concern

A concern such as pigmentation, texture or facial ageing can have more than one contributing factor. Assessment helps us decide what needs attention and which options deserve consideration.

02 / CLARITY

Make an informed choice

We explain the proposed approach, expected benefits, risks, alternatives, costs and recovery before you decide. You have time to ask questions and consider your next step.

03 / CONTINUITY

Review as life changes

Your priorities and skin can change over time. Follow-up is an opportunity to review progress, discuss your experience and refine your treatment and skincare plan where appropriate.

FROM FIRST VISIT TO FOLLOW-UP

A clear process.
Room for your questions.

  1. 01

    Choose your consultation

Start with a broader facial assessment, one specific concern, or a skin and complexion consultation. Our reception team can help you choose.

  2. 02

    Meet your practitioner

Discuss your goals, relevant medical history, current skincare and previous treatments. Imaging may support your assessment; the Strategy Session includes 3D imaging and facial analysis.

  3. 03

    Build your plan

Discuss suitable options and their order, alongside costs, recovery and realistic expectations. The Strategy Session includes a written roadmap for your care.

  4. 04

    Review and refine

Review your response with your practitioner and discuss next steps. Ongoing care is tailored to your needs rather than a fixed promise of results.

BEFORE YOU COME IN

What would you
like to know?

Who will I see at TCMA?

Medical consultations are with Dr Amy Chahal. Skin and complexion consultations are with our dermal therapists. Choose according to your concern, or call reception on (02) 8074 1559 for help.

Which consultation should I choose?

The Strategy Session is a broader facial assessment and written roadmap with Dr Amy. A Focused Consultation addresses one concern. A Complexion Consultation considers skin treatments and home skincare with a dermal therapist. Compare the consultations and fees.

Do I have to decide on treatment at my consultation?

No. The consultation gives you information to consider. You can ask questions, review the options and take time before deciding whether to proceed.

Can I seek advice about treatment I have had elsewhere?

TCMA offers second-opinion consultations. Bring details of your previous treatment, including dates and products or devices if known, so these can be considered in your assessment.

Where is the clinic?

TCMA is at 240 Riley Street, Surry Hills NSW 2010, Sydney. See contact details and plan your visit.

Treatment suitability is assessed individually. All treatments have risks and limitations, and results vary. Your practitioner will discuss these with you before you decide.
