Shadow
The contours around the eyes can cast shadows. A shadow is not the same as pigment in the skin.
Puffiness
Swelling or under-eye bags may contribute to what you notice. Tell Dr. Amy whether this changes throughout the day or is new.

The skin around the eyes is sensitive. Skincare may help some concerns, but it cannot address every cause of dark circles. Improvement can be partial, and some concerns are difficult to treat.

Questions you may have.
Are dark circles always caused by poor sleep?
No. Genetics, pigmentation, skin thickness and the contours around the eyes can contribute. Sleep is only one possible part of the picture.
Are dark circles and under-eye bags the same?
No. They can overlap, but colour, shadowing and puffiness are different considerations. Assessment helps clarify what is relevant to you.
Will an eye cream solve the problem?
It depends on the cause. A product will not address every type of under-eye concern, and sensitive eyelid skin can become irritated.
Can I book if I have had treatment elsewhere?
Yes. Please bring the treatment name, date and any available records. Dr. Amy needs to understand previous care before advising on next steps.
