Hydrafacial treatment at TCMA in Surry Hills

Enlarged pores and uneven skin texture

Normal skin has texture.
Your questions still matter.

Pores are a normal feature of skin. Oiliness, congestion and changes in firmness can make them more noticeable. Care aims to improve their appearance, rather than promise pore-free skin.

Visible pores

Tell us where you notice them and what you already use. We can discuss how your routine fits your skin.

Congestion

Blackheads and blocked pores may be part of the picture. If you also have breakouts, we consider those in your assessment.

Uneven texture

Roughness and indented scars are different concerns. Understanding the pattern helps avoid choosing a treatment for the wrong reason.

Make room for a simpler routine

Less trial and error.
More understanding.

Bring the products that helped, the ones that irritated and the questions you have not had answered.

We will talk through your priorities and what a useful change would mean to you. A consultation is a place to understand your options before deciding.

Care options at TCMA

Give each step
a clear purpose.

Gentle cleansing, suitable non-comedogenic products and sun protection can support your routine. Harsh scrubbing or squeezing may increase irritation. More exfoliation is not always the answer.

Routine review

Our dermal team can review your products, skin history and sensitivity. Bring photographs of product labels if that is easier.

Complexion treatments

Discuss whether Hydrafacial or a suitable peel belongs in your plan. Procedure choice follows assessment.

Texture assessment

Where texture is the main concern, explore SkinPen and Pico Laser at TCMA with your practitioner. These are options to assess, not a prescription for every pore concern.

Recovery and risks vary by procedure and may include irritation, redness, infection or pigment changes. Suitability, alternatives and expected recovery are discussed before treatment. Results vary.

What happens next

Questions you may have.

Can pores disappear completely?

Pores are a normal part of skin. The aim is to make them less noticeable, with realistic expectations about what skincare and treatment can achieve.

Are enlarged pores the same as acne scars?

No. If you are unsure what you are seeing, an assessment can help. Read about acne scarring.

Should I exfoliate more often?

Not necessarily. Scrubbing and irritation can make pores more noticeable. Discuss your routine before adding more active products.

Can I book if I also have acne?

Yes. Tell us about your breakouts and current medicines. Persistent or inflamed acne may need medical assessment.

Do I have to book a treatment course?

No. Start with a consultation to understand your options, costs and limitations. You can take time to decide.
