The Strategy Session
For understanding your face as a whole and leaving with a roadmap for the next few years, in the right order.

Focused Consultation
For when you already know what is bothering you and want that one thing properly assessed.
- One concern or one area
- A straight answer on what can and cannot be done

- Risks, costs and alternatives explained
- Shorter appointment
Complexion Consultation
For when your concern is your skin — how it looks, how it behaves, and why it is not responding.
- Pigmentation, texture, congestion and redness
- Skin imaging and analysis
- Your current skincare reviewed
- A staged treatment and skincare plan
- Deposit redeemable on treatment
Not sure which one you need?
That is a common position, and it is not a problem. As a rough guide:
- If your concern is your skin — how it looks, how it behaves — start with the Complexion Consultation
- If there is one specific thing you have been thinking about, start with the Focused Consultation
- If you want to understand the whole picture, or you do not yet know what is bothering you, start with the Strategy Session

What every consultation includes
The three appointments differ in scope and in who you see. What they have in common is how they are run.
- Assessment before any recommendation is made
- An explanation of what we are seeing, in plain language
- A plan in writing that you take home
- Discussion of your skincare and what it should be doing
- Honest sequencing, including what to leave alone
- Clear discussion of cost, downtime and timeframes
- Risks and alternatives for anything proposed
- No obligation to proceed, on the day or afterwards
In line with Australian advertising requirements for cosmetic procedures, these pages do not name specific products or prescription medicines. Your practitioner will discuss the options relevant to you, including their risks, during your consultation.
Common questions
Do I have to start with a consultation?
Yes. Every treatment pathway at TCMA begins with an assessment. It is how we practise, and it is what makes a plan safe as well as sensible.
Can I move between consultations?
Yes. If a Focused Consultation reveals you want the whole picture, or a Complexion Consultation raises something better addressed medically, we will tell you and arrange the right appointment.
Will I be treated on the same day?
Sometimes, where it is clinically appropriate and you have had time to consider it. It is never assumed, and never expected.
Are the fees redeemable?
The Complexion Consultation deposit is redeemable against treatment. The Strategy Session and Focused Consultation are consultation fees rather than deposits and are not redeemable — the reasoning is explained on each page.
I am a returning patient. Which do I book?
Usually the Focused Consultation if you have one thing in mind, or the Strategy Session if it has been a while and you want to reassess. If you are unsure, call and we will check your history.
