Most injectable treatments focus on replacing the volume naturally lost in the face to address signs of ageing like fine lines, wrinkles, and volume loss. While that approach works well for people experiencing a decline in volume, there are other processes that cause cosmetic concerns to develop, namely, a decrease in collagen production.

This is where this cutting-edge injectable treatment shines. Rejuran isn’t based on the naturally occurring substance, hyaluronic acid, which means it isn’t trying to replace what you’ve lost in the skin. It focuses on stimulating collagen production, helping it build its structure and tackle signs of ageing. For our patients, targeting collagen structure without additional volume more specifically is incredibly useful. Think of Rejuran as a healer for your skin, working at a molecular level to start to repair damage through the years.

Our Philosophy

The Centre for Medical Aesthetics operates on one paramount tenet: your aesthetic journey is as important as any other medical venture you embark on. Your concerns aren’t “just cosmetic.” Aesthetic care is still care, and we promise to treat them with equal gravitas.

Why Might Someone Consider Rejuran?

This new injectable is capable of providing improvements to many different aspects of skin health, including:

  • Fine lines
  • Static Wrinkles
  • Dynamic Wrinkles
  • Dry skin
  • Dull skin
  • Uneven skin tone
  • Irregular skin texture
  • Sagging skin
  • Acne scars
  • Rosacea
  • Delicate skin around the eyes

It is important to note that, as with all aesthetic treatments, our ability to tackle each of these symptoms will vary based on your unique reaction to the formulation.

Is Rejuran Right for Me?

Summary:

  • What are your preexisting conditions?
  • Do you have fine lines and wrinkles?
  • Do you have textural skin concerns?
  • Do you have tonal skin concerns?
  • Is your skin dry or dehydrated?
  • Do you still have ample volume in the skin?
  • Do you have concerns about rosacea?
  • Do you have realistic expectations?
  • Have you done your due diligence?

The only way to know whether Rejuran is a good fit is to schedule a consultation with a qualified professional who is thoroughly educated about this new cosmetic treatment. They will consider your medical history, condition, and goals, and explain why this is or is not a good treatment for you.

Unlike other injectables, one of the big qualifiers for Rejuran is ensuring that volume loss is not a significant contributor to the signs of ageing that you would like to address.

While it can help rebuild collagen structures in the skin, Rejuran will not provide significant volume increases, meaning you will not experience the kind of results you are hoping for. In these cases, a different treatment or formulation of Rejuran may be better suited to your needs.

Rejuran is also more diverse than some of its counterparts, allowing us to utilise it for textural and tonal concerns. But you should still look at plenty of before and after photos and conduct an ample amount of research on the treatment to ensure it interests you.

The most important part of this process is ensuring that you have reasonable expectations — otherwise, you could be disappointed in what would otherwise be considered a positive treatment.

Understanding the Rejuran Injectable Process

At our practice, our first and foremost goal is to make sure you feel comfortable and confident about the decision to have a treatment performed. We won’t encourage you to have anything done that you aren’t ready for or undergo any procedure that we don’t think will ultimately get you closer to your ideal results.

A Consultation with The Centre for Medical Aesthetics

Summary:

  • We aren’t here to convince you to have treatment performed.
  • Rejuran may or may not be right for you; we will help you figure that out.
  • You will have as much time as you need to ask your questions.
  • We are your support system — even if you don’t sign up for treatment.

Let’s make sure that the most important part of your consultation is clear: we do not want to convince you to have treatment performed. If you aren’t 100% comfortable with having Rejuran or any injectable done, then you shouldn’t.

Our consultation is a tool for you to talk with a medical professional about your concerns, and we will answer honestly and truthfully about its safety and how likely it is to achieve your goals.

Please ask any and all questions you have, and note all the questions you come up with in the days leading up to your treatment. We will take no issue with you going down a list you have saved on your phone or bringing in a notebook for reference.

Even if you choose to skip the treatment, don’t worry — we will still be here whenever you reconsider Rejuran or any other aesthetic treatment. No pressure here, just support.

How to Prepare for Rejuran

Your preparation will be fairly straightforward: avoid harsh skin treatments and excessive sun exposure since those can make the process and recovery much more uncomfortable. It also helps to come in with clean skin free from makeup or sunscreen.

The Rejuran Process

Summary:

  • Treatments take between 30 and 60 minutes.
  • Your process will be seamless, comfortable, and professional.
  • Great options for working professionals and busy schedules.
  • Maintenance will be required once or twice a year.
  • Three to six treatments are needed to build full results.

The entire Rejuran process will take between 30 and 60 minutes, depending on how much correction is made. Even for extensive treatment, many working professionals and people with busy schedules can resume their routines without missing a beat. Our goal is to get you taken care of in an intentional and professional way without taking up more time than you would like.

It is normal for patients to need follow-up Rejuran treatments every three to six weeks to build their ideal results, but after that, maintenance treatments are typically only needed once or twice a year.

Rejuran Results

Rejuran has shown that it can improve specific textural and tonal signs of ageing. The initial results are noticeable within 24 to 48 hours, but improvements will continue for about four weeks. As sessions progress, the results will become increasingly more substantial.

Let’s Talk: Frequently Asked Questions

Let’s Talk About Volume Loss

Volume loss is a natural part of the ageing process. As we get older, there are a couple of mechanisms that lead to a less full appearance, the most impactful of which is the decline of fat storage in our body and face. As we lose the fat that once filled our cheeks, foreheads, and jaws, the skin collapses, causing wrinkles and fine lines.

Let’s Talk About Fine Lines and Wrinkles

By the age of 20, our bodies are losing about 1% of their collagen production each year. While that might not sound like a lot, over the course of a few years, it can lead to noticeable changes in the facial structure, like fine lines and wrinkles. This is why Rejuran may be a more prudent “preventative” treatment than other fillers; it doesn’t attempt to solve the issue with more volume. Instead, it tackles the underlying cause: collagen production.

Let’s Talk About Scarring

Scarring is an irregularity in the skin texture, and while it is traditionally very difficult to treat, products like Rejuran can provide some patients with improvements since it works to improve and remake the skin tissue. Results with this approach do vary since everyone’s reaction to Rejuran and other injectable treatments is unique.

What Risks Are Associated with Rejuran?

There are very few side effects associated with Rejuran. It is possible to experience some minor discomfort, swelling, redness, or tenderness at the injection site, but those typically fade within a day or two and are very rare among our patients.

What Is Rejuran Made From?

The polynucleotides that are in Rejuran are derived from a substance known as milt — more easily understood as, believe it or not, male salmon testicles. Much processing happens between the collection and injection, but this substance’s organic origin contributes to its safety and effectiveness.
