There are a lot of treatments in the aesthetic market that can help address two, three, or even four medical aesthetic concerns. Alma HarmonyXL, however, is uniquely adaptable and flexible, tackling dozens of different indications with a single device.
Powerful devices like this are a great tool to enable medical providers, which is why TCMA is excited to offer this as an option to our clients — especially if their cosmetic goals are multifaceted.
Our Philosophy
The Centre for Medical Aesthetics operates on one paramount tenet: your aesthetic journey is as important as any other medical venture you embark on. Your concerns aren’t “just cosmetic.” Aesthetic care is still care, and we promise to treat them with equal gravitas.
Why Might Someone Consider Alma HarmonyXL?
Alma HarmonyXL is approved to address more than 65 different aesthetic conditions resulting from textural or tonal concerns. You can see a comprehensive list in our FAQ section at the bottom of this page, but even if you don’t see your specific concern on this list, you shouldn’t worry — it is still possible that Alma HarmonyXL can still be a good fit for your aesthetic goals.
Providing the added benefit of synergetic combined treatments, HarmonyXL PRO is in tune with today’s holistic and personalised approach, enabling intelligent and patient-centric treatments that lead to enhanced results.
We use this for the treatment of pigmentation and vascular lesions – including, but not limited to port wine stain birthmarks, rosacea capillaries on noses etc.
At TCMA, we most often recommend Alma HarmonyXL for patients looking to address port wine strain birthmarks, rosacea, and noticeable nose capillaries.
Is Alma HarmonyXL Right for Me?
Summary:
- Do you have textural or tonal skin concerns?
- Do you have more than one type of improvement you would like to achieve
- Are you concerned about pigmentation or vascularity?
- Do you have rosacea?
- Have you researched Alma HarmonyXL on your own?
- Have you seen enough before and after photos?
- Do you have realistic expectations?
- Are you sensitive to laser or light treatments?
It is likely, based on the versatility of the Alma HarmonyXL system, that the aesthetic improvements you are seeking out are achievable through this treatment if they are textural or tonal in nature. We can also help manage pigmentation with this device. This option is also a great option for anyone looking to achieve multiple types of improvements with a single application.
You should always do a thorough amount of research independently and review as many before and after photos as you can in order to be as informed as possible about what kind of results this treatment can achieve. By coming in with realistic expectations, you will prevent yourself from being disappointed in what would other wise be considered a successful treatment.
If you have any preexisting conditions or sensitivities to light-, laser-, or sound-based therapies, make sure to mention that during your consultation. We will make sure that the treatment is safe for you before recommending it.
Understanding the Alma HarmonyXL Process
At our practice, our first and foremost goal is to make sure you feel comfortable and confident about the decision to have a treatment performed. We won’t encourage you to have anything done that you aren’t ready for or undergo any procedure that we don’t think will ultimately get you closer to your ideal results.

After figuring out what type of treatment you would like to have performed, the next step is to schedule your appointment and get ready for the treatment process. When you first arrive, your skin will be thoroughly cleansed to help avoid infection and breakouts.
Once that is finished, the medical device attachedment that best suits your goals will be gently moved across your skin. You may feel some slight discomfort at this stage, but the vast majority of our patients are able to tolerate the treatment without any external help.
As the targeted area is completed, your skin will be cleaned once more, and then you are free to get back to your usual routine. The entire process takes between 45 and 60 minutes, depending on the amount of correction and the area that we are addressing.
Alma HarmonyXL Results
Most patients can expect to see a noticeable improvement in the area they are looking to address, as long as the concerns are tonal or textural in nature. Fine lines, wrinkles, blemishing, discoloration, and general skin health are all potential areas that Alma HarmonyXL can address.
How quickly you are able to see your results will depend entirely on the type of treatment you are having performed and your unique reaction to the treatment. During your consultation, we will give you a clear idea of how you can expect your results and recovery to develop.

Let’s Talk: Frequently Asked Questions
The Alma HarmonyXL system, while offering a broad range of cosmetic and dermatological treatments, may also come with potential side effects, as is common with many laser-based therapies. These side effects can include temporary redness, swelling, and mild discomfort at the treatment site. Some individuals might also experience bruising, itching, or skin sensitivity following their procedure. In rare cases, there might be more significant reactions such as hyperpigmentation, hypopigmentation, or scarring, especially if post-treatment care instructions are not carefully followed. It’s essential for patients to discuss their skin type, medical history, and any concerns with their healthcare provider to minimize the risk of adverse effects and ensure a safe, effective treatment outcome.
After undergoing a procedure with this system, patients are typically advised to avoid direct sun exposure and apply broad-spectrum sunscreen regularly to protect the treated area from UV damage. It’s also important to keep the skin hydrated and use gentle, non-abrasive skincare products to aid in the healing process. Avoiding harsh chemicals, extreme temperatures, and activities that can cause excessive sweating or friction on the treated area for a few days post-treatment is recommended.
