Healite II Results

Healite II is a versatile treatment, and the speed and strength of your results are going to differ based on what unique conditions we are tackling. But, in general, it will always take some time for your results to become immediately noticeable, usually around two to four weeks. As sessions progress, those results become even more noticeable as the treatments begin to compound.

Let’s Talk:

Frequently Asked Questions

Healite II treatment carries some minor risks. The bright light can cause eye discomfort, so protective goggles are essential. If you take any medications or supplements that increase photosensitivity, consult your doctor before starting treatment. Mild skin irritation, redness, or dryness might occur in rare cases, but these effects typically resolve quickly. For individuals with a history of cold sores, light therapy may sometimes trigger a Herpes Simplex Virus outbreak.

It’s crucial to have any undiagnosed skin lesions or growths evaluated by a doctor before undergoing Healite II. This ensures that any potential skin conditions are properly diagnosed and treated, and light therapy doesn’t interfere with necessary medical care.

Since it’s noninvasive, you won’t experience any downtime and can get right back to your normal routine. Feel free to wear makeup and use your regular skincare products immediately after treatment. Remember, sun protection is always a good idea, but it’s especially important after Healite II as your skin might be slightly more sensitive. Stay hydrated by drinking lots of water to support your skin’s health.

There are two main types of wrinkles: static and dynamic, each with its own cause and characteristics. Static wrinkles are like permanent etchings on our skin. Unlike dynamic wrinkles,  they’re always there due to factors like loss of facial volume and the natural breakdown of collagen over time. Think of them as the smile lines that linger even when you’re not smiling, or marionette lines around the mouth.

Dynamic wrinkles, on the other hand, occur during expressions. They appear when we make specific facial movements – squinting, frowning, raising our eyebrows in surprise. Crow’s feet around the eyes, frown lines between the eyebrows, and the lines that form on our forehead when we’re deep in thought are all examples of dynamic wrinkles.

As we age, several key changes impact facial fullness. The first is the redistribution and decline of fat within our tissues. Our faces tend to lose their fat stores, creating a less plump and more sunken appearance often associated with ageing. Secondly, collagen, the abundant protein responsible for keeping our skin firm, gradually breaks down. This decline, starting as early as our 20s, becomes increasingly noticeable alongside the loss of facial volume.

As we reach age 20, our bodies reduce collagen production by about 1% each year. This gradual decline may seem insignificant initially, but it manifests in noticeable changes to the facial structure over several years, including the development of fine lines and wrinkles. Unlike methods that merely increase volume to mask ageing signs temporarily, Morpheus8 addresses the fundamental issue by stimulating collagen production, aiming for a more lasting improvement.

Acne, while often associated with teenagers, can plague us well into adulthood. Several factors contribute to those pesky breakouts:

  • Hormones: Fluctuations in hormones, particularly androgens, can trigger excess oil production. This oil clogs our pores, creating the perfect environment for acne-causing bacteria to thrive.
  • Excess Oil: Our skin naturally produces sebum to keep it moisturized. However, overproduction can lead to clogged pores and breakouts.
  • Dead Skin Buildup: Our skin sheds dead cells regularly, but those cells can sometimes mix with oil and get trapped inside pores, leading to inflammation and breakouts.
  • Bacteria: A type of bacteria normally found on our skin, P. acnes, can multiply in clogged pores, further worsening inflammation and contributing to acne.
